FX announced today that the premiere episode, Immigration, from the series 30 Days (created by Morgan Spurlock) is now available for free download from the iTunes Store. In addition to the free episode, there is also a special “making-of” video available for free as well.
If you haven’t watched this series before, I’d highly recommend catching this second season. This initial episode on Immigration is amazing and completely pulls at your heartstrings, no matter which side of the debate you’re on. Plus, the next episode on Wednesday at 10PM is about the outsourcing of jobs to India. They send a guy who lost his job to outsourcing over to India to see if he can get his job back over there. At least the guy can use is real name instead of having to make up an American-sounding one.
If you don’t use iTunes or don’t want to download it, you can catch a repeat airing of the Immigration episode Sunday night (7-30) at Midnight on FX. The series airs Wednesdays at 10PM E/P and 11PM E/P on FX.

I was a firm believer in being “legal”. My sister has married 2 men to help them get greencards which my family hates. I live in a town where I am the minority. I had many negative thoughts on this subject. After watching this show and seeing this family, and where they came from….I just have to say it all melted away and guilt has taken over. I will never again feel those feelings of “entitledment” or that I belong here. I think anyone who wants to make a better life for their family and themselves should never be denied. I saw a poster as the show went on as I couldn’t stop crying NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL. And dang it that made so much sense to me. I wish their family the absolute best.
