BushSo in the face of a massive repudiation of his Iraq/War on Terror policy (and presidency in general), Bush now claims he was planning on dumping Rumsfeld long before today.

Obviously this is sad news for all the Republican casualties lying dead on the midterm election battlefield. I think they might have appreciated the lift in the polls they would have gotten if Bush had dumped Don “Always-Wrong” Rumsfeld a year ago…or let’s say five years ago when the Secretary of Defense told Bush that his plan for post-war Iraq primarily consisted of letting our soldiers be carried out of Iraq on the shoulders of celebrating Iraqis.
